Job Overview:
The Assistant Project Manager is in charge of monitoring current projects handled by the Project Managers. He/She is also responsible for finding solutions to the problems escalated to him/her with regards to the completion of the projects. Moreover, he/she is responsible for creating process improvement for the department.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates with cross-discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
- Meets with the Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers to identify and resolve issues.
- Submits project deliverables and ensures that they adhere to quality standards.
- Prepares status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.
- Establishes effective project communication plans and ensures their execution.
- Facilitates change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget.
- Coordinates the development of user manuals, training materials, and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation and turnover of the process or system to the clients.
- Identifies and develops new opportunities with clients.
- Obtains customer acceptance of project deliverables.
- Manages customer satisfaction within the project transition period.
- Conducts post-project evaluation and identifies successful and unsuccessful project elements.
- Supervises and assists members of the Project Management Department.
- Assists in creating training programs and materials for other team members.
- Performs additional tasks that are related to the department.
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Management, Marketing or equivalent.
- Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
- Knowledge in Product Development.
- Knowledge of Website Development, and Systems Development
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and can negotiate with ease (in English and Filipino).
- Ability to delegate tasks across team members.
- Experience in managing a diverse group and training each according to company standards.
- Must display excellent work ethics and values.
- Must be a Filipino citizen living in the Philippines.
Other Qualifications (Nice-to-Have Advantage):
- Experience with developing/supporting an insurance application (e.g. Policy Administration, Claims Administration, Underwriting, etc).
- Commercial Property Insurance or Commercial Casualty Insurance or Commercial Auto Insurance experience.
- Experience with AGILE Methodology and SAFe/SCRUM framework.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be living within Metro Manila.
- Must be willing to travel and report onsite.
