??? ??????: Empowering the Energy Sector Through Digital Transformation
The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC), in partnership with the USAID Energy Secure Philippines (ESP), proudly inaugurated the ERC LINKod on 21 July 2023 at the Seda Hotel in Bonifacio Global City. Mybusybee, a leading player in event technology solutions, also participated in the event.
The event saw participation from more than 400 industry stakeholders, both virtually and in person. Energy sector advocates, as well as Senator Sherwin T. Gatchalian and Department of Energy Secretary Raphael P.M. Lotilla, graced the occasion, underscoring the significance of the ERC LINKod in advancing the energy sector.
The platform aims to foster stronger government-citizen relationships, facilitating a more transparent and responsive engagement for our people. “Let this platform inspire other government agencies to embrace a better governance and ensure democratic efficiency,” President Marcos, Jr. said.
ERC LINKod offers a suite of online platforms, including the Consumer Complaints Ticketing System (CCTS), Online Filing and Application System (OFAS), Billing and Revenue System – Cashiering System (BRS-CS), Online Uniform Reportorial Requirements System (OURRS), Competitive Retail Electricity Market – Monitoring and Reporting System (CREM-MRS), and Enhanced ERC Website.
With the full implementation of ERC LINKod, the processing time for all services is expected to be reduced by an average of 50%.
ERC Chairperson and CEO Monalisa C. Dimalanta emphasized its positive impact on consumers: “As the ERC LINKod advances into the digital age, the electricity consumers can look forward to a more transparent and responsive energy landscape.”
Mr. Ryder Rogers of the USAID expressed his enthusiasm for obtaining the Information Security Management System (ISMS) certification, “This will strengthen energy governance and elevate democratic accountability.
