Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 300 executives worldwide who participated in the judging process in June and July.

“We’re thrilled that we’re able to return to celebrating Stevie winners in person this year,” said Stevie Awards president Maggie Miller.  “This year’s class of honorees are as innovative, adventuresome, persistent, and successful as we’ve ever had.  We look forward to celebrating their achievements with them during our 15 October awards banquet in London.”

CDA Taps on Busybee to Develop Global Market Opportunities for Cooperatives

The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) has recently launched Co-op Biz(https://coopbiz.ph/), an online marketplace to help CDA-registered cooperatives sell their goods to the global market.

Recognizing the challenges brought forth by the pandemic and the onset of e-commerce as viable means of marketing and selling products, CDA has embarked on enhancing the CDA Cooperative Business Matching Information System (CBMIS) to adapt to the present setup by utilizing the latest available technology through its collaboration with MyBusybee, Inc., one of the top providers for digital marketing services in the country.

“The CDA has just entered the age of globalization, even though that globalization started decades ago, but for me, it’s not too late for us to catch up… We are not only talking about regional approach or engagement of businesses, but we want to see cooperatives doing their market, engaging their business globally,” CDA chairman Joseph Encabo said.

Co-op Biz hosts merchant cooperatives from different parts of the country selling products and promoting them for domestic and international markets, particularly micro and small, in categories of home living, apparels, accessories, and bags, among others. This is the first cooperative e-platform that is the CDA’s version of Amazon and Alibaba.

“This e-commerce platform provides a complete solution that targets not just the growth of cooperatives but also highlights our local products. This is not a competitor of other Philippine e-commerce websites – it’s an online shopping hub so that our local products can be seen on a worldwide scale,” Busybee’s General Manager Franz Daryl Dutes said.

According to Duetes, Co-op Biz is also equipped with Busybee’s newest solution, BeePay, an advanced payment gateway platform that facilitates outsourced payment collections. It provides payment collection to the masses and gateway integration for both bill and payment collection partners. With over 32,000 Cash-in Centers and connected to over 50+ local bank channels and 20,000+ biller partners, BeePay is fast penetrating the industry of bill payment collection.

Busybee’s mission is to create high-quality and innovative applications that incorporate technology to unravel solutions for brands and companies. Since 2012, Busybee has been assisting many government agencies to adapt to digital transformation to achieve efficiency, transparency, and accountability by developing platforms and web applications to automate their manual processes.
